Job summary

MetLife Gulf in Oman seeks a Sales Manager to lead bancassurance product launches with bank partners, drive sales activation, and train the team across Oman. You will oversee stakeholder engagement and performance, addressing capacity constraints while supporting growth initiatives for strategic accounts.

The role emphasizes leveraging AI-enabled insights to boost sales effectiveness, enhance customer engagement, and deliver measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• MBA or equal by experience.
• 8-10 years of experience with a leading Life Insurance or Financial Institution (ideally in bancassurance).
• At least 3 years in sales & relationship management in Oman.
• Demonstrate clear leadership skills.
• Results-driven.
• Excellent communication skills in all forms.
• Strong account & relationship management.
• Customer oriented.
• Problem Solving.
• Confident negotiator and ability to upsell.
• People management skills – a positive attitude in dealing with people, especially from different cultures.
• Insurance qualification from a recognized body (LOMA or Chartered Insurance Institute) is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall insurance business in the designated banks for all lines of business (Term Life, A&H and VUL and any other LOB tapped in the future).
• To develop and implement effective strategies to achieve the company objectives of Sales and market share.
• To train, guide, direct, support and manage the team of designated IA/IS and RMs
• To explore and develop opportunities for new channels /segments/ industries.
• Align with MetLife overall strategy and make sure to cascade the same within the team.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and analytics to enhance sales effectiveness, improve customer engagement, and identify business growth opportunities
