Job summary

Client of 6 Pence seeks an Automated Operations Engineer for 1st level operations in our Telecommunication Managed Services. You will monitor real-time alarms, analyze issues, and escalate incidents.

The role involves automation work, scripting, and improving operational efficiency across RAN, Core, and IP/Transport networks. Ideal candidates hold engineering degrees, 2–4 years in operation and maintenance, and experience with OSS/NMS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in EE, telecom, CS or related field.
• Experience in operation & maintenance and fault/performance management is preferred.
• Knowledge of multi-vendor networks and alarm management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for real-time monitoring, alarms, and performance information 24x7.
• Initial analysis, issue restoration, and network incident escalation.
• Perform 1st line support including detection, classification, and correlation.
• Work with diverse tools and perform alarm surveillance and ticket management.
• Support change management for 1st level service restoration activities.
