Job description

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Engineer to join Wefaaq and support the design and development of our real estate projects. The role will focus on the design and development of multi-story residential and residential-commercial buildings, with strong emphasis on compliance with Muscat Municipality regulations and requirements and the successful submission and approval of architectural plans.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and develop architectural designs and plans for multi-story residential and residential-commercial buildings.

Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details.

Ensure all designs comply with Muscat Municipality regulations, requirements, and applicable building standards.

Prepare and submit architectural drawings and required documents to Muscat Municipality and relevant authorities.

Follow up on plan submissions, respond to technical comments, and revise drawings until the required approvals are obtained.

Review plot requirements, planning conditions, and applicable regulations during the design process.

Coordinate architectural designs with Structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.

Review and provide technical input on consultants’ drawings and design submissions.

Coordinate with the Projects and Engineering teams during construction to resolve architectural design and technical issues.

Review shop drawings and as-built drawings to ensure compliance with the approved architectural design.

Maintain accurate records of approved drawings, revisions, submissions, and technical documents.

Optimize designs to improve functionality, space utilization, quality, and constructability.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.

6–9 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design .

Strong practical experience with Muscat Municipality architectural regulations, requirements, and plan submission and approval procedures.

Proven experience in designing multi-story residential and residential-commercial buildings.

Good knowledge of architectural and building requirements applicable in Oman.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Strong ability to review architectural drawings and technical details with accuracy.

Experience coordinating with Structural and MEP disciplines.

Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

Experience dealing with government authorities, consultants, and contractors.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet required deadlines.
