Job summary

Experience in Muscat is seeking a skilled Aircraft Paint Technician to perform surface preparation, treatment and painting of aircraft surfaces and components. The role requires precise application of paints, varnishes and graphics, with masking of non-painted areas and strict adherence to surface prep techniques.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of proven paint experience, including FMS-2026 F-16 Have Glass procedures, and can lead/mentor other technicians in this specialized field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years proven experience as a paint technician including painting, maintenance and finish work.
• Proven experience with FMS-2026 F-16 Have Glass paint application procedures.
• Working knowledge of USAF military publications and Technical Orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation, treatment and painting of aircraft surfaces and components.
• Mask and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted.
• Apply vinyl graphics to aircraft surfaces with precision.
• Lead, train and mentor other technicians in the F-16 Aircraft Paint technician specialty.

Job description

Performs surface preparation, treatment and painting of components, all aircraft surface areas, aircraft panels, support equipment, or other items as required. Demonstrated ability to precisely apply paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other material using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices. Masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted. Working knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques. Must be knowledgeable of military publications and diagrams. Ability to precisely apply vinyl graphics to multiple aircraft surfaces. Must be qualified in application of FMS-2026 Form 2, Type 1 F-16 Have Glass surface refinishing
