Job summary

Amentum in Oman is seeking a skilled aircraft paint technician to perform surface preparation, treatment and painting of components and panels on F-16 aircraft. The role requires precise application of paints and related materials, and the ability to mask areas not to be painted in accordance with military standards.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of proven paint experience, high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with FMS-2026 F-16 Have Glass paint procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years proven experience as a paint technician to include painting, maintenance, and finish work.
• Education requirement: High School diploma or GED
• Proven experience with FMS-2026 F-16 Have Glass paint application procedures.
• Must be able to lead, train and mentor other technicians in all aspects of the F-16 Aircraft Paint technician specialty

Job description

Performs surface preparation, treatment and painting of components, all aircraft surface areas, aircraft panels, support equipment, or other items as required. Demonstrated ability to precisely apply paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other material using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices. Masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted. Working knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques. Must be knowledgeable of military publications and diagrams. Ability to precisely apply vinyl graphics to multiple aircraft surfaces. Must be qualified in application of FMS-2026 Form 2, Type 1 F-16 Have Glass surface refinishing
