AWF Limited is hiring for a hands-on yard role in New Zealand. You will work outdoors with timber and fencing products, measuring, cutting, sorting and stacking while contributing to a safe, efficient yard operation.

The role involves loading and unloading materials, following health and safety procedures and collaborating with a small team to get tasks done. A pre-employment check and references are required.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, keeping active and being part of a team where everyone pitches in. You'll be working primarily with timber and fencing products, preparing orders and helping keep the yard running safely and efficiently. A big part of the role involves measuring, cutting, sorting and stacking timber and fence posts, so we're looking for someone who can work accurately, follow instructions and take pride in doing a job properly.

What you'll be doing:

• Measuring, marking and cutting timber and fence posts to required specifications
• Using saws and other cutting equipment safely and confidently
• Sorting, grading and stacking timber and fencing products
• Loading and unloading timber and other yard products
• Assisting with general yard duties and stock organisation
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe
• Working alongside a small team to get the job done
• Following all health and safety procedures

We're looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Is physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting and manual handling
• Enjoys hands-on, outdoor work
• Has a good eye for detail and can measure accurately
• Is comfortable using tools and machinery, or willing to learn
• Has a positive attitude and is happy to get stuck in
• Works well in a small, close-knit team
• Takes health and safety seriously
• Can work independently when needed
• Forklift/OSH experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential

This is a casual ongoing role for the right candidate. Before we can place you, you must agree to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test, a criminal background check as well as providing two work references.
