Hynds Group in Christchurch seeks a reliable Yard & Forklift Operator for our Hornby team. You will load, unload, store products and assist customers at the counter while helping keep the yard safe and organised.

This role requires a NZ Class 1 licence and forklift endorsement, with a safety-first mindset and good teamwork. We offer training, benefits, and opportunities to grow within our nationwide business.

Formación

• Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Forklift Endorsement, or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in a yard, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, transport, or similar environment.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Confidence using computer systems.
• Physical fitness and ability to regularly lift up to 20kg.

We're looking for a reliable and safety-focused Yard & Forklift Operator to join our Hornby team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched safely while delivering great service to our customers at the counter.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating a forklift to load, unload, move, and store products


• Picking and preparing customer orders


• Loading and unloading trucks and customer vehicles


• Receiving and processing inwards goods


• Completing stocktakes and inventory transactions


• Maintaining a safe and organised yard


• Assisting customers with orders


• Working with the wider team to ensure products are delivered on time

What You'll Bring

• Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence


• Forklift F Endorsement, or willingness to obtain one


• Experience in a yard, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, transport, or similar environment


• Strong commitment to health and safety


• Practical, hands-on approach with a positive attitude


• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Physical fitness and ability to regularly lift up to 20kg
