Job summary

Oji Fibre Solutions NZ Ltd. is seeking a Shift Driver for Wood Prep on a 3-month fixed-term, full-time basis. This 12-hour, 4x4 roster includes an on-call component and the ability to work across different positions within Wood Prep.

Applicants must hold a Class 2 licence with W endorsement and have experience operating heavy machinery on uneven terrain, preferably in solid wood production. Pre-employment checks and NZ work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy mobile machinery in uneven terrain within the last 36 months.
• Production experience in the solid wood processing industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety processes including hazard ID.
• Class 2 licence with W endorsement.

Weare currently seeking applications for a 3-month Fixed term, Full-time shiftDriver position in Wood Prep. This position is on a 12 hrs 4x4 shift rosterpattern with requirement to participate in a call out roster.

Qualificationsand Knowledge Requirements:

• Must have Class2 licence plus W endorsement. Experience essential with driving in anindustrial environment.
• High level ofphysical fitness, with the ability to work in a variety of conditions (height,heat, confined space, wet and cold conditions)
• Communicationskills both written and oral, can report on progress of work both orally and inwriting.
• An ability towork effectively as part of a team and be capable of progressing through otheroperating positions within Wood prep.
• Able to give anexample and explain where they have been working as effective team member.
• Has provenexperience of successfully taking on new roles or skills.
• An ability toplan and prioritise work.
• Can demonstrateand understands what due care of machinery is.
• Can demonstrateknowledge of computer skills: switch on/off, use mouse, login/out, send andreceive e-mail.
• Goodorganisational and problem-solving skills, with good housekeeping ethics andthe ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Competently useCB and RT radios.

Therequired skills, qualifications and experience are:

• Can demonstrateknowledge of previous experience operating heavy, mobile machinery in unevenand unstable terrain e.g. Forest harvesting quarrying or similar within thelast 36 months.
• Production workexperience in the solid wood processing industry.
• Knowledge ofhealth and safety processes including hazard ID.

Inaccordance with Company policy, the successful candidate will be required toundergo a pre-employment medical examination, drug test and Ministry of Justice criminal history and right to work in New Zealand check. Oji Fibre Solutions will meet these expenses.
