Job summary

Tsel Catalina Sounds, based in Blenheim, Marlborough, seeks a Winemaker to support the Head of Winemaking and drive the portfolio's growth with external contract partners. You will ensure quality from grape to bottle, maintain records, and contribute to continuous improvement across processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Oenology, Viticulture or related discipline.
• Relevant experience as a winemaker across all aspects of the winemaking process.
• Sound technical knowledge of wine production, wine chemistry and quality assurance.
• Ability to evaluate wine quality through analytical and sensory assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Winemaking in executing winemaking plans that protect wine quality and brand reputation.
• Coordinate with external contract winemaking, laboratory and bottling partners to meet specifications.
• Assist across harvest, fermentation, maturation, blending, stabilisation, filtration and bottling.
• Conduct analytical testing and sensory evaluation; recommend corrective actions.
