Job summary

Treasury Wine Estates seeks a hands-on Production & Operational Excellence Manager to lead Matua Winery operations in Blenheim. You will drive safe, efficient execution, embed operational excellence, and lead data-driven improvements across production, safety, quality and compliance.

Reporting to Site Operations, you will collaborate with Winemaking, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain to optimise throughput and labour productivity while delivering sustainable performance benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations within a winery, FMCG, food & beverage, manufacturing or supply chain.
• Proven track record improving throughput, labour productivity and operational performance.
• Strong experience with Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma or related frameworks.
• Experience delivering improvement projects and sustainable outcomes.
• Understanding of production flow management and execution disciplines.
• Ability to lead large seasonal or variable workforces.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, food safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient and compliant winery operations and achieve production targets.
• Drive Operational Excellence across the site with Lean, problem solving and data-led decisions.
• Develop a large operational workforce including team leaders, permanent and seasonal staff.
• Identify bottlenecks and lead initiatives to improve flow, throughput and reliability.
• Champion safety, quality, and environmental compliance with audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Winemaking, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain to optimise assets.
• Lead site improvement projects focused on productivity, cost reduction and sustainability.
