Job summary

Latitude 45 Luxury Tours Limited in Queenstown seeks an enthusiastic Wine and Tour Guide to deliver world-class wine experiences in Queenstown and the Central Otago wine region. You will lead private and small-group tours, share wine knowledge, and provide outstanding customer service.

Requirements include a Full, clean NZ driver's license with a Passenger Service endorsement, WSET qualification preferred, flexible hours (weekends/holidays), and a confident, engaging personality.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a strong passion for wine and local knowledge of Central Otago wineries.
• Experience in wine, hospitality, or tourism is advantageous.
• Excellent storytelling and customer service abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Host and guide luxury wine tours through Central Otago and Queenstown regions.
• Deliver engaging commentary on wine regions, winemaking processes and wine characteristics.
• Develop relationships with local wineries and vineyard owners to enhance tours.
• Drive luxury vehicles safely and professionally and manage guest safety.
• Adapt tour itineraries to guests’ preferences and handle tour logistics.

You MUST have a Passenger Endorsement to drive passengers or have a New Zealand License to obtain one Latitude 45 Luxury Wine Tours is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Wine and Tour Guide to deliver world-class wine experiences in Queenstown and the Central Otago wine region. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, strong storytelling abilities and excellent customer service skills. As a Wine Tour Guide, you will lead private and small-group tours through some of New Zealand's most prestigious vineyards and the region, offering guests an immersive journey into the region’s rich wine culture and scenic regional tours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Host and guide luxury wine tours through Central Otago, including Gibbston, Bannockburn, Cromwell, and beyond.
• Deliver engaging commentary on the history of the region, the winemaking process, and the characteristics of Central Otago wines.
• Guiding and Transfers ability from time to time to offer services for transfers and sightseeing tours around the region.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and memorable experience.
• Develop strong relationships with local wineries, winemakers, and vineyard owners to enhance the tour experience.
• Drive luxury vehicles safely and professionally, ensuring guests' comfort and security.
• Adapt tour itineraries based on guests' preferences, ensuring a personalized experience.
• Manage tour logistics, including scheduling, guest communication, and liaising with winery partners.
• Represent the Latitude 45 brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and in-depth wine knowledge.

Requirements:

• Strong passion for wine and local knowledge of Central Otago wineries.
• Previous experience in the wine industry, hospitality, or tourism is an advantage.
• Exceptional interpersonal and storytelling skills. WSET Qualification preferred.
• A professional, warm, and engaging personality.
• Full, clean driver's license with a Passenger Service endorsement.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Confidence in conducting wine tastings and guiding high-end clientele.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• First aid certification (preferred but not required).
