Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking an Assistant Category Manager – Wine to support end-to-end management of a complex wine category across New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square. You’ll help with trading, pricing, promotions and ranging while balancing needs of large national suppliers and smaller producers.

Working closely with the Category Manager, you’ll analyse sales data, coordinate launches and drive commercial outcomes with a passion for wine and strong stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset with ability to work through data and trends.
• Experience supporting pricing, promotions or commercial activity in retail or FMCG.
• Ability to manage relationships with multiple suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and operation of the Wine category across New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square.
• Manage pricing, promotions and ranging across a large, varied product set.
• Analyse sales, margin and performance data to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support relationships with top-tier suppliers and smaller producers.
• Coordinate promotional activity and key launches with accuracy and timelines.
• Respond to store queries and support store teams with wine-related needs.
• Play a key role in delivering the New World Wine Awards planning and execution.
