Job summary

Sanitarium Health Food Company is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator in Auckland to oversee WHS systems and processes across sites. You will coach staff and leadership, maintain documentation, and support the implementation of WHS software while driving engagement and continuous improvement.

The role involves coordinating training, audits, injury management, and safety inspections, with a focus on compliance and stakeholder collaboration to foster a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety, compliance, or related coordination.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation and training programs.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience developing or maintaining policies and procedures.
• Proactive approach and passion for workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate WHS training programmes, registrations and records.
• Provide WHS advice, guidance and coaching to staff and leaders.
• Maintain and improve WHS systems and documentation.
• Assist with WHS audits, inspections, investigations and reporting.
• Support injury management and return-to-work processes.
• Coordinate WHS committee activities, emergency wardens and first aiders.
• Administer WHS software systems for strong user engagement.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor legislative changes and emerging safety trends.
• Assist in managing site risks, hazards and compliance across supply chain operations.
