Job summary

Ministry of Social Development in Wellington is recruiting for a Team Manager, Communications Channels and Content. You will lead day-to-day delivery of audience-focused communications across channels and content, manage workflow, and set priorities to meet deadlines.

You will lead a team, work with stakeholders, and drive quality, accessibility and Te Ao Māori embedding in leadership decisions and practices within a large government organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering communications across content and channels in a complex environment.
• Practical expertise developing and coordinating content across digital, print and visual formats, with a strong focus on quality and consistency.
• Experience supporting or leading teams, setting clear priorities and contributing to a positive, inclusive and high‑performing team environment.
• Working knowledge of performance measures, audience insights and feedback, with the ability to use these to improve communications delivery.
• Strong relationship management and collaboration skills, with the ability to deliver coordinated work across teams and meet deadlines.
• Experience in strategic planning, operational management, project management, financial management and performance monitoring.
• A commitment to embedding Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in leadership, decisions and ways of working.
