Job summary

Bupa Cambridge is seeking a Wellbeing Support Assistant to help keep residents' environments clean, comfortable, and safe, while assisting with daily living tasks and light hospitality duties. Based at Bupa St Kilda Care Home, you’ll work with a supportive team, follow health and safety procedures, and contribute to high standards of cleanliness, dignity, and independence for residents.

The role offers a permanent part-time roster (35 hours per fortnight) with Monday to Friday and some weekend

Qualifications

• Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or community services (desirable)
• Ideal work experience of 2+ years in customer service or support roles such as hospitality, housekeeping, or home-based care
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Living locally in Cambridge
• Respect residents’ privacy and independence
• Reliable transport or travel arrangements
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand

Responsibilities

• Provide effective, efficient, and hygienic weekly cleaning of each resident’s apartment to a high standard
• Complete all daily cleaning tasks for community areas as scheduled
• Provide daily bed making and weekly bed changing services
• Ensure care is taken with collecting and returning residents' laundry
• Provide reminders and ensure medications are taken, and support with filling prescriptions
• Assist with dressing and personal hygiene supervision and meal deliveries
• Provide other general services residents subscribe to, such as companion time
• Report faults, issues, or supply needs to the manager
• Manage supplies economically and avoid wastage
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and safe chemical use and storage
• Treat residents with respect and dignity
