Job summary

Located in Meeanee, Napier, Bupa Willowbank Care Home is a modern, spacious facility offering Rest Home, Hospital, and Dementia Care. Wellbeing Support Assistant role supports residents with cleaning, laundry, personal care reminders, meals, and companionship in a warm, respectful environment.

This permanent part-time position features an average 18.7 hours per week with a 2pm–6pm, Monday–Friday roster on a 6-week cycle, and access to Bupa wellbeing programs and discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an aged care environment, disability support, or community services.
• Ideal: 2+ years in customer service or support roles such as hospitality, housekeeping, or home-based care.
• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective weekly cleaning of each resident's apartment to a high standard.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks for community areas as scheduled.
• Provide bed making and weekly bed changing services.
• Collect and return residents' laundry; manage timely deliveries.
• Remind and support residents with medications and prescriptions.
• Assist with dressing, personal hygiene, and meal deliveries.
• Offer companionship and other resident services as needed.
• Report faults or supply needs to the manager; manage supplies to avoid wastage.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and safe chemical use.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.
