Job summary

WSP NZ is seeking a Technical Principal – Water Asset Management to join our Auckland Water team. In this senior role you will provide technical leadership for the Water Asset Management practice, guiding strategy, lifecycle management, investment and regulatory readiness.

You will lead asset management services, build relationships with clients and senior stakeholders, support business development and contribute to thought leadership across the water sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in asset management, water services, utilities and/or advisory consulting.
• Demonstrated experience in water supply and/or wastewater asset management.
• Strong understanding of ISO 55000/55001 and asset management system thinking.
• Understanding of New Zealand water sector drivers, reform and information disclosure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for WSP’s Water Asset Management practice in Auckland.
• Lead water asset management services across strategy, planning, lifecycle management, investment, risk and resilience.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with water sector clients and regulated suppliers; support business development and thought leadership.
