Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Technical Principal in Water Asset Management in Auckland to lead technical delivery, strategy, lifecycle management and investment planning for water assets. You will build trusted advisor relationships with clients and regulators, guiding asset information and performance improvements.

The role oversees water asset management across strategy, planning, lifecycle, risk, resilience and regulatory readiness, working with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in water supply and/or wastewater asset management.
• Strong understanding of ISO 55000/55001 and asset management system thinking.
• Understanding of New Zealand water sector drivers, reform and information disclosure requirements.
• Current clean driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert geotechnical oversight throughout the construction phase of the Te Awa Kairangi project (Riverlink), ensuring compliance with relevant standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
