Job summary

WSP NZ seeks a Technical Principal in Water Asset Management to lead our Water Asset Management practice in Auckland. You will guide strategy, planning, lifecycle, investment, risk, resilience and information systems, building trusted advisor relationships with clients and regulators.

You will shape asset management thinking, drive business development and mentor multidisciplinary teams across projects that future-proof water infrastructure and regulatory readiness for New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and professional registration or accreditation.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in asset management, water services, utilities and/or advisory consulting.
• Experience in water supply and/or wastewater asset management.
• Strong understanding of ISO 55000/55001 and asset management systems thinking.
• Understanding of NZ water sector drivers, reform and information disclosure requirements.
• Proven ability to work with clients, senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Current clean driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Water Asset Management across strategy, planning, lifecycle management and investment.
• Lead asset management services and improve asset performance, resilience and regulatory readiness.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with water sector clients and regulated suppliers.
• Support business development and contribute to thought leadership to strengthen market profile.
