Job summary

Harrison Bloy Plumbing and Bathrooms Limited is seeking a proactive Warehouse Storeperson to support day-to-day operations across two sites in Christchurch. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm, with duties including picking, packing and dispatch readiness.

Ideal candidates will have warehouse experience, a positive attitude towards customers and a valid Class 1 driver’s license with forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Full Class 1 driver's license and forklift license (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely.
• Ensure inwards goods are receipted accurately and on time.
• Assist with cycle counting as required.
• Keep warehouse tidy and products stored correctly.
• Follow all health and safety systems at all times.
• Coordinate with showroom team to ensure prompt dispatch of goods.

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Storeperson to join our team. This position is shared across two sites, with approximately half of the time based at our Pipeline site in Wigram and the remainder at our Distribution site in Islington.

This role plays an important part in supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of both the warehouse and distribution centre.

The position is Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role:

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensuring that inwards goods are receipted accurately and on time
• Assist with cycle counting when required
• Ensure products are stored correctly and warehouse areas remain organised and tidy
• Ensuring all health and safety systems are being followed at all times
• Liaise with the showroom team to ensure the prompt dispatch of goods

About you

Our ideal candidate has previous experience working in a warehouse role and has great communication skills. In addition, you will also possess the following skills or attributes:

• Positive attitude towards customers and team mates always
• Physically fit and can lift product up to 25kg
• A full class 1 driver's license and current forklift license (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills
• Possess a natural curiosity and look for opportunities to learn about new products or services
• Be a team player, who enjoys working towards and motivating others to meet monthly team targets
• Ensure everyone you come into contact with is treated with respect in line with the Harrison Bloy company values
• Access to your own vehicle

Our customers (internal and external) are at the forefront of everything we do so you will need to be customer focused. Plumbing or Trade experience would be an advantage, but not necessary for this role.
