Job summary

H J Asmuss & Co Ltd operates from Rolleston in the South Island and is seeking a dedicated Storeperson for a permanent, full-time role. The position runs on day shift from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities including stock receiving, picking, packing, and operational support.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in warehouse operations, forklift preferred.
• Clean full driver’s licence – F-endorsement preferred but not essential.
• Computer literate and excellent communication skills.
• Physically capable in a demanding role; able to stand for long periods.
• Solution-focused and resilient under pressure.
• Willingness to learn, grow and take ownership of work.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Hands-on, can-do attitude with versatility to tackle tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, barcoding, and putting stock away.
• Picking and packing orders in a timely manner.
• Operate warehouse mobile equipment including forklift and reach truck.
• Keep warehouse spaces tidy, organised, and safe at all times.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Support stocktakes, inventory checks, and report discrepancies.
• Pitch in with general warehouse tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

We are ideally looking for someone who has:
