Job summary

Plumbing World invites applications for a permanent, full-time Warehouse Person at our Wiri Distribution Centre in Auckland. The role involves picking and packing orders, replenishing stock, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment. Training provided; prior warehousing or logistics experience is advantageous.

You must be physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg, with a current NZ Class 2 licence. 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
• Support delivery team when required.

About The Role

Come and join the Team in Black at our Wiri Distribution Centre as our new Warehouse Person, where we take pride in delivering exceptional service to both our customers and our people.

Full training will be provided, although previous warehousing or logistics experience would be an advantage in this hands-on role. We're looking for someone who is reliable, physically fit and capable of heavy lifting (up to 20kgs), has a positive attitude, and enjoys working as part of a team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for picking and packing customer orders, replenishing stock, and carrying out a variety of general warehouse duties as required. Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment is a key part of the role and an important part of our culture.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Labelling, staging, and loading customer orders for dispatch.
• Container unloading (devanning) and put-away of incoming stock.
• Cycle counting and inventory accuracy checks.
• Replenishment of pick-face and warehouse stock locations.
• Picking, packing, and assembling customer orders.
• Checking and verifying orders for accuracy and quality.
• Labelling, staging, and loading customer orders for dispatch.

This role is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm.

Please note, to be successful in this role, you must hold a current Class 2 Full New Zealand Driver Licence. While this is primarily a warehouse-based position, there will be occasions where you will support our delivery team and complete customer deliveries across the Auckland region when required.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need

• Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience is preferred.
• A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence with a Class 2 endorsement is essential.
• Confident using computer systems and technology in a warehouse environment.
• Reliable, dependable, and enthusiastic, with a positive can-do attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic with a practical, hands-on approach to work.
