Job summary

Plumbing World is hiring a Warehouse Person at our Black team in the Wiri Distribution Centre. You will pick, pack, label, and dispatch customer orders, with training provided. Occasional deliveries may be required across Auckland with a Class 2 NZ Driver Licence.

We value a strong team, safety, and accuracy. The role is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with potential to develop and grow within the company.

About the role

Come and join the Team in Black at our Wiri Distribution Centre as our new Warehouse Person, where we take pride in delivering exceptional service to both our customers and our people. Full training will be provided, although previous warehousing or logistics experience would be an advantage in this hands-on role. We're looking for someone who is reliable, physically fit and capable of heavy lifting (up to 20kgs), has a positive attitude, and enjoys working as part of a team. In this role, you'll be responsible for picking and packing customer orders, replenishing stock, and carrying out a variety of general warehouse duties as required. Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment is a key part of the role and an important part of our culture.

This role is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm.

Please note, to be successful in this role, you must hold a current Class 2 Full New Zealand Driver Licence. While this is primarily a warehouse-based position, there will be occasions where you will support our delivery team and complete customer deliveries across the Auckland region when required.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience is preferred.
• A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence with a Class 2 endorsement is essential.
• Confident using computer systems and technology in a warehouse environment.
• Reliable, dependable, and enthusiastic, with a positive can-do attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic with a practical, hands-on approach to work.
• Technically minded, organised, and able to work methodically and efficiently.
• Physically fit and capable of safely lifting (up to 20kgs) and handling bulky or awkward products.
