Job summary

Plumbing World in Lower Hutt is seeking a confident and reliable driver to join our team. You will deliver products to sites, build strong customer relationships and support branch operations with order picking and packing.

If you enjoy being hands-on, working with a great team, and providing excellent service, this role could be perfect. A full NZ driver’s licence and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on team player who can load the truck and meet customers on-site.
• Customer-focused attitude whether on the road or in the branch.
• Reliability and a positive attitude to support the team.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Trade knowledge is a bonus but not essential; will be taught.

Responsibilities

• Delivering products to sites and building strong relationships with our customers.
• Assisting with Inwards Goods - picking and packing orders, stocking shelves and cycle counting.
• Supporting other areas of the branch as needed.

This role is a permanent full-time position working 42.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Specific start and finish times will be discussed during the interview stage.
To be successful in this role you will need:

• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• knowledgeable of the Lower Hutt/Wellington area/region.
• Good sales & customer service skills.
• Reliable with a great attitude.
• Good time management.
• Work well under pressure while displaying good sound logic.
• Customer Focus is a must (mainly trade related)
• Physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting (up to 20kgs)
• A full, clean New Zealand drivers' licence.
• Pride in personal appearance with great interpersonal skills.
