Job summary

JobSpace is seeking an experienced Warehouse Storeperson to manage the inward goods process and ensure tradespeople have the products they need. The role covers both Auckland and Hamilton premises and involves forklift operations, stock control, and safe handling of materials.

You'll be responsible for receiving, unloading, labelling, packing, and maintaining inventory records, as well as assisting with stocktakes and equipment maintenance to guarantee smooth workshop operations.

Responsibilities

• receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
• Unload and load materials with the Forklifts from the trucks and stack them to assigned places
• operating computers to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock
• labelling goods with details of storage location
• packing and weighing goods and sealing boxes
• operating machines to lift, place and remove goods on high levels by using Forklifts.
• operating specialised equipment, such as manually and electronically guided order pickers, and checking goods off picking list.
• assisting with regular stocktakes
• may use materials handling equipment, such as hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks, to move goods
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
