Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced Warehouse Storeperson to own the inward goods process and ensure tradespeople have the products they need. This role covers Auckland and Hamilton premises, with responsibilities including receiving goods, forklift handling, stock location, packing, and routine maintenance for safety.

Ideal candidates will be hands-on with stock control systems and capable of contributing to regular stocktakes while maintaining safety standards across the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receiving incoming goods, checking for damaged items and invoice discrepancies.
• Unload/load materials with forklifts and stack to designated areas.
• Operate computer systems to locate stock and quantities.
• Label goods with storage location details.
• Pack, weigh, and seal boxes for shipping.
• Use forklifts to move goods to high-level storage.
• Operate order pickers and check items off the picking list.
• Assist with regular stocktakes.
• Use handling equipment such as hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks.
• Inspect machinery and perform routine maintenance for safety.

Duties ( Warehouse person )

• receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
• Unload and load materials with the Forklifts from the trucks and stack them to assigned places
• operating computers to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock
• labelling goods with details of storage location
• packing and weighing goods and sealing boxes
• operating machines to lift, place and remove goods on high levels by using Forklifts.
• operating specialised equipment, such as manually and electronically guided order pickers, and checking goods off picking list.
• assisting with regular stocktakes
• may use materials handling equipment, such as hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks, to move goods
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
