Job summary

Chardikala is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse operations. You will assist with receiving, storing, organising and preparing goods for delivery in a hands-on role, with expectations for physical fitness and strong teamwork.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse/retail stock management (or Level 4+ qualification), a forklift certificate, and availability for weekend and day/night shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of work experience in warehouse/retail stock management or a Level 4 or above qualification.
• Weekend and day/night shift availability.
• Forklift Certificate

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Checking incoming goods for damage and discrepancies between orders and supply.
• Labelling goods with details of their storage locations.
• Using software to record and obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock.
• Weighing and measuring volume of goods for distribution.
• Checking allocated bays, scanning packed items and examining orders for goods delivery.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and following all company Health and Safety, Food Safety and manual-handling procedures, including the safe use of materials-handling equipment such as hand trucks or hydraulic pallet lifters where required.
• Preparing delivery schedules.
