Job summary

Chardikala is seeking a Warehouse Assistant in New Zealand to support day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring goods are received, stored, organised and prepared for delivery safely and efficiently. This hands-on role requires physical fitness, organization, and the ability to work well independently and in a team.

Key tasks include loading/unloading vehicles, examining incoming goods for damage, labeling storage locations, and recording stock details using software.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of work experience in warehouse/retail stock management or a Level 4 or above qualification.
• Forklift Certificate is required or preferred.
• Available on weekends and day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Checking incoming goods for damage and discrepancies between orders and supply.
• Labelling goods with details of their storage locations.
• Using software to record and obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock.
• Weighing and measuring volume of goods for distribution.
• Checking allocated bays, scanning packed items and examining orders for goods delivery.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and following all Health and Safety procedures, including material-handling equipment use.
• Preparing delivery schedules.
