Job summary

Gilmours Hamilton, part of Foodstuffs North Island, seeks a Warehouse Assistant to operate Reach and Counterbalance forklifts in the Chilled, Frozen and Butchery departments. The role is full-time, based in Hamilton, NZ, and involves stocking, inventory control, and working in cold environments.

• Lift and move items including heavy loads (25kg+).
• Work in both chillers/freezers and ambient areas.

We're looking for a WarehouseAssistant to join our Chilled, Frozen and Butchery department, keepingour shelves full and stock moving, and operating Reach and Counterbalanceforklift. If you're reliable, physically fit, and know your way around aforklift, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Replenishingstock in our Chilled, Frozen and Butchery display and storage areas
• OperatingReach truck and Counterbalance forklifts to move and organise stock
• Usinghandheld RF scanners to track and manage inventory
• Liftingand moving stock, including heavy items (25kg+)
• Workingin cold environments (chillers and freezers) as well as ambient areas
• Adaptingto different tasks and departments as the day requires

• CurrentForklift OSH certificate, with genuine Reach truck experience — this isessential
• Asafe, sensible approach to forklift operation and warehouse work
• Astrong, verifiable attendance record and reliable work history
• Yourown reliable transport (public transport doesn't cover our shift times)
• Apositive, can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Previouswarehouse, retail, butchery, or food industry experience is a bonus, not arequirement
• SAPexperience is a plus, but we'll train you if you don't have it

Hours

Full time early starts(6am) and could be working either Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday.Exact hours and days to be confirmed at interview and dependant on thesuccessful applicant.
