Job summary

Republic of Singapore Yacht Club on the West Coast of New Zealand seeks a Waiter/Waitress & Bartender to manage bar operations and deliver exceptional beverage service. You will engage with guests, prepare mise en place, and ensure high standards of service.

The role requires knowledge of alcoholic beverages, wines and spirits, and skilled bar service with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Minimum 2 years experience and GCE O' Level expected.

About the role

This is a Waiter/Waitress & Bartender position in a hospitality setting. You will be responsible for bar operations, beverage service, and guest interactions, ensuring high standards of service at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare duty schedules in accordance with the business forecast to ensure operation runs smoothly
• Supervise bar staff and ensure high standards of service of beverages
• Ensure staff provide professional, friendly and efficient service at all times
• Maintain security of operating equipment in the bar and beverage and food stocks in the bar areas
• Perform regular inventories of beverage and operating equipment
• Maintain and control all bar stocks and ensure effective control procedures
• Prepare sufficient mise en place for all bar operations according to the daily business forecast
• Assist in the training and development of bar staff to operate to the required standards
• Receive and seat members and guests and provide Food and Beverage services
• Prepare table and buffet set up and all operating equipment, condiments, sauces, and accompaniments for service

About you

• Complete knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including wines and spirits
• Skilled bar service; cocktails and mixed drinks
• Excellent social and personal skills
• Knowledge of F&B control procedures
