Job summary

Tiny Nation Christchurch invites an experienced Visiting Teacher to support our educators, primarily based in the northern suburbs of Christchurch, caring for and educating tiny learners. The role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and strong communication while leveraging technology and administration tasks.

This part-time position (30 hours/week, Monday–Friday) offers flexible regional work and home-based duties, with competitive remuneration and ample organisational support.

Qualifications

• NZ teacher full practising certificate is required.
• Experience in home-based early childhood education is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of current early learning theories and practices.

Responsibilities

• Support educators in the home-based ECE setting.
• Care for and educate tiny learners in the educator’s care.
• Travel to maintain day-to-day support and collaboration; work from home when appropriate.

The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Visiting Teacher, to support our educators predominately based in the northern suburbs of Christchurch, with their day-to-day role of caring for and educating the tiny learners in their care.

About you

Our ideal candidate will hold a NZ teacher full practising certificate, have a background and passion in supporting home-based early childhood education and care, and a strong knowledge of current early learning theories and practices.
