Job summary

Vinarchy. in Marlborough is seeking a hands-on Vintage Harvest Assistant to support vineyard operations during the upcoming vintage. You’ll coordinate teams, bins and truck movements and ensure smooth information flow between Viticulture, Weighbridge and Winery Front End teams.

This role involves a rotating day/night roster, with about 30 hours per week, rising to 70 hours at peak harvest, and requires a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail and basic digital skills.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Organised, able to prioritise tasks and stay calm under pressure.
• Confident with Microsoft Office and basic digital tools.
• Hold a full NZ driver’s licence.
• Willingness to learn and work the full vintage period.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate harvest teams, bins and truck movements across vineyard blocks.
• Communicate with Viticulture, Weighbridge and Winery Front End teams.
• Collect maturity samples from corporate and contract grower vineyards.
• Gather, deliver and store maturity samples.
• Support yield assessments, P&D counts and grapevine performance data collection.
• Prepare, enter and check data including truck/trailer weights and intake paperwork.
• Collate information from viticultural operations and assist with ad-hoc admin tasks.
• Pitch in with additional vineyard or harvest prep tasks as required.

About The Role

As a Vintage Harvest Assistant , you’ll be right at the heart of harvest, supporting vineyard operations, coordinating teams, bins and trucks, and keeping information flowing between Viticulture, Weighbridge and Winery Front End teams.

This role is dynamic, varied and full of energy. You’ll be part of a tight, supportive team working across a rotating day/night roster. Hours sit around 30 per week , increasing up to 70 hours during peak harvest .

What Your Day May Look Like

• Coordinating harvest teams, bins and truck movements across vineyard blocks

• Supporting yield assessments, P&D counts and grapevine performance data collection

• Pitching in with additional vineyard or harvest preparation tasks as required
