Job summary

Ryman Healthcare is hiring for a Part-Time Van Driver at Charles Fleming Retirement Village, Waikanae, Kapiti Coast. You’ll transport residents safely in the village van with a friendly, professional touch.

Role is Tue & Thu 13:30–16:30. We value empathy, reliability and teamwork, and will support you to obtain a P-Endorse Licence if needed.

Qualifications

• Strong empathy and a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to drive a manual van.
• Current, clean NZ Drivers Licence.
• Current P-Endorsed Licence or willingness to obtain one (we'll support).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and comfortable transportation of residents and others in the village van.
• Provide a welcoming, helpful and friendly approach to all passengers, ensuring outings are enjoyable.
• Maintain health and safety focus including passenger safety, speed, road regulations and vehicle upkeep.
• Work closely with and support colleagues.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team at Charles Fleming Retirement Village Retirement Village inWaikanae, Kapiti Coast as a Van Driver. This is a Part-Time position working:

• Tuesday & Thursday 1330-1630

In this role you will:

• Ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of residents and others in the village van
• Provide a welcoming, helpful and friendly approach to all passengers ensuring all outings are an enjoyable experience.
• Have a strong focus on Health and safety including passenger safety, speed, road regulations and vehicle upkeep.
• Work closely with, and support your colleagues

About You

To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:

• Strong empathy
• A reliable, friendly and professional manner
• Ability to drive a manual van
• Current, clean NZ Drivers Licence
• Current P-Endorsed License or the ability to gain one and we will support you to obtain this
