Job summary

Bob Scott Retirement Village in Petone, Wellington is seeking a Van Driver to join our caring team in a casual, as-required role.

Shifts include Mon 09:30–11:30 and 13:00–15:30; Tue 13:30–16:30; Thu 13:30–16:30; Fri 09:30–11:30 and 13:00–15:30. You will transport residents safely and provide a friendly, supportive passenger experience, with an extra $2.50 per hour for weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Strong empathy.
• Reliable, friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to drive a manual van.
• Current NZ Driver's Licence.
• Current P-Endorsed License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of residents and others in the village van.
• Provide a welcoming, helpful and friendly approach to all passengers ensuring all outings are an enjoyable experience.
• Have a strong focus on Health and safety including passenger safety, speed, road regulations and vehicle upkeep.
• Work closely with, and support your colleagues

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team at Bob Scott Retirement Village in Petone, Wellington as a Van Driver. This is a Casual position working as required:

• Monday 0930-1130 & 1300-1530


• Tuesday 1330-1630


• Thursday 1330-1630


• Friday 0930-1130 & 1300-1530

In this role you will:

• Ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of residents and others in the village van


• Provide a welcoming, helpful and friendly approach to all passengers ensuring all outings are an enjoyable experience.


• Have a strong focus on Health and safety including passenger safety, speed, road regulations and vehicle upkeep.


• Work closely with, and support your colleagues

About You

To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:

• Current, clean NZ Drivers Licence.


• Current P-Endorsed License.
