Job summary

Ryman Healthcare is seeking a Van Driver for the Charles Fleming Retirement Village in Waikanae, Kapiti Coast. This part-time role runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, focusing on safe transport, friendly passenger care, and team collaboration.

The ideal candidate will hold a current NZ Driver's Licence, be able to drive a manual van, and may pursue a P-Endorsed License with our support. A reliable, empathetic approach is essential for serving residents.

• Strong empathy and a friendly, professional manner.
• Current, clean NZ Driver's Licence.
• Ability to drive a manual van and obtain a P-Endorsed License if needed.
• Reliable and safety-focused with good passenger care.

Responsibilities

• Safely and comfortably transport residents and others in the village van.
• Provide a welcoming, helpful experience for all passengers on outings.
• Prioritize health and road safety and keep the vehicle in good condition.
• Collaborate with village staff and colleagues to support residents.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team at Charles Fleming Retirement Village Retirement Village in Waikanae, Kapiti Coast as a Van Driver. This is a Part-Time position working:

• Tuesday & Thursday 1330-1630

In this role you will:

• Ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of residents and others in the village van
• Provide a welcoming, helpful and friendly approach to all passengers ensuring all outings are an enjoyable experience.
• Have a strong focus on Health and safety including passenger safety, speed, road regulations and vehicle upkeep.
• Work closely with, and support your colleagues

About You

To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:

• Strong empathy
• A reliable, friendly and professional manner
• Ability to drive a manual van
• Current, clean NZ Drivers Licence
• Current P-Endorsed License or the ability to gain one and we will support you to obtain this
