Job summary

Ryman Healthcare’s Yvette Williams Retirement Village in Dunedin is seeking a caring Caregiver with a passion for dementia care to join our Hospital Unit.

You will work with residents, follow individual care plans, engage in activities, and build lasting relationships with residents and their families. We offer ongoing training, weekend allowances, and supportive team in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Strong empathy and compassionate care for residents.

• Willingness to complete or have completed relevant NZ unit standards within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residents and provide engaging activities.
• Follow residents' individual care plans to ensure high-quality dementia care.

• Use the facility's care app to document and monitor care.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to joinourYvette WilliamsRetirement Village in Dunedin as a Caregiver in ourHospital Unit. This position will be working with our lovely residents who need an experienced and reliable person with a passion for dementia care.

We have three P art Time position available working either:

• Friday & Saturday- 1500-2300 (15.0 hours)
• Sunday & Monday - 1600-2100 (9.0 hours)
• Sunday & Monday - 0730-1300 (11.0 hours)

In this role you will:

• Oversee residents providing activities to engage them
• Follow our resident's individual care plans, providing care that would be good enough for your own mum, dad, nana or poppa
  Engage with our residents and developing lasting relationships with themand their families
• Use the latest technology - including our own purpose-built care app myRyman
• Take time to learn about each and every resident, their background, what's makes them happy to help them enjoy life to the fullest

About You

• Have obtained or are willing to complete the Relevant unit standards (or an equivalent qualification as approved by Ryman), within 18 months of their employment commencement date
