Kiwi Supertots Learning Centre, Botany Auckland is seeking a warm, reliable, and caring Unqualified ECE Reliever for a part-time, long-term role up to 0.7 FTE. Start date 26/10/2026.

This reliever position focuses on providing 1:1 ratio support for young children under 2 with additional needs. The role is flexible or casual, and involves caring for and supervising a young child, supporting feeding, naps and daily routines, and engaging in age-appropriate play.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Unqualified ECE Teacher - Reliever

Part time, Long-term relieving (LTR), FTTE up to: 0.7, Start Date: 26/10/2026 (Relievers position for floor cover)

We are looking for a warm, reliable and caring person to join our team in a flexible reliever role, with the position primarily focused on providing 1:1 ratio support for young children (under 2) with additional needs.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with children, is confident with routines, play, supervision and general care, and is looking for flexible or casual work.

About the role

The position may include:

• caring for and supervising a young child
• supporting feeding, naps and daily routines
• engaging the child in age-appropriate play and activities
• helping maintain a safe, calm and nurturing environment
• occasionally assisting within an early childhood environment as an unqualified reliever, depending on operational needs

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

• kind, patient and genuinely enjoys working with children
• reliable and punctual
• confident caring for babies and/or young children
• comfortable following established routines and instructions
• responsible and safety-conscious
• able to communicate well with parents and colleagues.

Previous nannying, babysitting, childcare or ECE experience would be an advantage, but an ECE qualification is not required.

A current First Aid certificate and clean driver licence would also be an advantage, as well as driver's license and ability to drive, and legal right to work in New Zealand.
