University of Otago in Dunedin is seeking an Events Supervisor to lead the hospitality operation across campus, reporting to the Hospitality Manager. This hands-on role oversees events, plans regular and varied programs, and drives a high-performing team while ensuring service excellence.

Evening and weekend work is required; you bring leadership in food and beverage, strong communication, the ability to build professional relationships, and knowledge of relevant regulations.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated leadership qualities in food and beverage roles.
• Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience performing tasks under competing demands with quality and timely results.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise business needs.
• Previous experience in the food service/hospitality sectors.
• Knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, Health and Safety legislation, and Food Control Plan.

• A hands-on leadership role for the operation of events across the university.
• Planning regular and varied events.
• Playing a key role in staff training.
• Ensuring that all Hospitality Services exceed the expectations of our clients.
• Building, developing and being part of a high performing hospitality team.
• Ensuring that all aspects of our services embrace Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the University’s Māori and Pacific Strategic Frameworks.
• Evening and weekend work will be required for this role.
