Job summary

Bupa Cedar Manor Care Home in Tauranga is seeking a Unit Coordinator to lead care teams and oversee clinical care for residents. You will mentor RNs and caregivers, conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and contribute to audits and InterRAI processes to ensure high-quality care.

This permanent, full-time role offers Monday to Friday shifts from 8:30am to 5:00pm with a 40-hour week, enabling you to make a meaningful impact while supporting residents to live with independence and dignity.

Qualifications

  • Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration.
  • Proven clinical leadership experience and empathy.
  • Experience in dementia care and adult care settings.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

Bupa Cedar Manor Care Homeis located in central Tauranga and is well known for its distinctive Tudor-style architecture.This 92-bed care home offers rest home, hospital, and dementia care, as well as care suites.

As a Unit Coordinator,you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

  • Provide person-centred clinical care for residents
  • Lead a team of caregivers and nurses in your unit to provide the highest quality clinical care
  • Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and maintain accurate paperwork
  • Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement

  • Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration
  • Proven Clinical Leadership experience, personal passion, and empathy
  • Passion for leading a team to mentor and support others with confident communication
  • Prior experience and training in dementia care
  • Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience
  • A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact on residents’ lives
  • Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
