Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking an entry level Mine Surveyor in Waihi. No previous survey experience required; on the job training provided. Join a global gold and copper producer with operations across three continents and a long-term presence in Waihi.

You will assist the Mine Survey Department with day-to-day survey tasks, maintain equipment, and support safety and data integrity in a residential role live-and-work in Waihi. The roster offers 8 on 6 off days and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• No formal Qualification required
• Full and Current Driver Licence, with ability to drive Manual Vehicles
• A good level of physical fitness and practical motivation is a key requirement of the position
• Any existing knowledge and understanding of Surveying will be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mine Survey Department with all day-to-day survey tasks.
• Provide care and maintenance of vehicle and stored equipment used in duties.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the survey equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the stocks of all day-to-day survey consumables.
• Comply with site safe work practices and instructions.
• Ensure all required records and datasets are maintained and kept updated.

Job Description

Are you interested in learning about underground mine surveying? Are you keen to grow a mining career with an international company with assets across 3 continents?This is an entry level position that does not require and previous survey experience. On the job training will be provided as part of the role with opportunities for additional learning.
