Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation's Waihi operation in New Zealand is offering an entry-level underground mine surveying role. No prior survey experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided as part of the role with opportunities for additional learning.

Key tasks include assisting the Mine Survey Department with day-to-day survey tasks, maintaining survey equipment and stocks, and ensuring records are kept up to date. Residential role with an 8 on 6 off roster and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• No formal qualification required.
• Full and Current Driver Licence, with ability to drive Manual Vehicles.
• A good level of physical fitness and practical motivation is a key requirement of the position.
• Any existing knowledge and understanding of Surveying will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mine Survey Department with all day-to-day survey tasks.
• Provide care and maintenance of vehicle and stored equipment used in duties.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the survey equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the stocks of all day-to-day survey consumables.
• Comply with site safe work practices and instructions.
• Ensure all required records and datasets are maintained and kept updated.
