Job summary

Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeking experienced Bogger Operators to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on the South Island. The role supports underground development, production and backfill services, with operations starting in October 2026.

We require safety-focused professionals with at least 12 months of underground loader experience operating Sandvik and CAT equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience operating Sandvik and CAT underground loaders.
• Strong safety focus and ability to speak up.
• Team mindset and reliable work ethic.
• NZ Class 1 license (unrestricted) with DG endorsement desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate Sandvik and CAT underground loaders.
• Inspect loaders regularly and report damages.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and required documents.
• Communicate clearly with team and supervisors.
• Keep ore, low grade, marginal and waste streams separated and tracked.
