Job summary

HEB Construction is seeking an experienced TTM Leader/Driver in North Canterbury to support daily traffic management, coordinate worksites, and mentor crew members. The role focuses on safe delivery of traffic management, site setup, and collaboration with maintenance crews and subcontractors across civil projects.

The successful candidate will have strong TTM experience, a Class 1 licence, and a proactive safety approach to lead by example in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Temporary Traffic Management experience.
• Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively.
• Reliable, motivated and safety‑focused attitude.
• Current TTM qualification.
• Class 2 Licence (desirable).
• Experience supervising field crews.
• Experience working in road maintenance, civil construction or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support TTM crews on‑site.
• Operate company vehicles and traffic management equipment.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, monitoring, and removal of Temporary Traffic Management.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Conduct vehicle, plant and equipment inspections.
• Ensure sites comply with approved TMPs and traffic management requirements.
• Support toolbox meetings, pre‑starts and risk assessments.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve capability and performance.
• Build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
