Job summary

New Vale Coal is seeking an experienced safety-focused Class 5 driver to join our team in Southland, NZ. The role involves operating trucks and backing trailers, with an emphasis on safe driving and adherence to site policies.

Desirable candidates will hold a clean Class 5 licence, be prepared for six-day weeks, and bring a positive, flexible attitude. Training and an induction will be provided.

Qualifications

• Current Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability to back a truck and trailer.
• Positive attitude and flexibility to take on a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe driving and vehicle operation for site transport.
• Be flexible to perform a variety of tasks as required.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.

Desirable applicants will possess,

• a current class 5 driver's licence with a good driving record,
• ability to back a truck and trailer,
• have a positive attitude with the flexibility and preparedness to take on a variety of tasks.
• the ability to work 6 days per week
• Experience operating loaders or other heavy machinery would be an advantage
