Job summary

Star Personnel Ltd is recruiting a Sales Trainee for International Freight Forwarding, Transport, and Logistics in Auckland. The program includes up to 18 months of in-office training across imports/exports, seafreight and airfreight, warehousing and logistics, with a path toward a full Sales Representative role.

You will learn sales skills and CRM usage, then transition to field sales to build customer rapport, assess needs, and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Supply Chain and Logistics, Commerce, B Com, International Business or Management.
• 2-5 years experience in International Freight Forwarding in Customer Service/Operations/Sales Support or Sales.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication in English.
• NZ Driver's licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Training will take up to 18 months in the office across operations (Imports/Exports, Seafreight, Airfreight, Warehousing and Logistics).
• Move into phone sales and then field sales, targeting existing and new customers.
• Build rapport and trust with customers and assess needs to recommend solutions.
• Keep CRM information up to date and accurate.
