Job summary

Awanui Labs, part of Awanui Group, is seeking a motivated Trainee to join our Patient Services team across multiple collection centres in NZ. This permanent, full-time position is 80 hours per fortnight, offering hands-on experience and ongoing training in a high-standard medical laboratory setting.

You will collect blood samples, handle specimens, ensure proper labelling and transport, and support processing and testing while delivering compassionate patient care.

• Collect blood samples from patients in community and hospital settings.

• Ensure accurate labelling, handling and transport of specimens.
• Support processing and testing of specimens in a state-of-the-art medical laboratory.
• Maintain patient care and quality standards at all times.
