Awanui Labs – Canterbury is seeking two experienced phlebotomists to join our Patient Services team in Canterbury, Christchurch. These part-time roles are 20 hours per week, with casual opportunities also available, in a supportive clinical environment.

Responsibilities include blood collection, handling contained specimens, and providing professional customer service while coordinating with health professionals and the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Medical Science Council and an Annual Practising Certificate.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Blood collection and handling of contained specimens (blood, faeces, tissue) and preparing specimens for transportation.
• Provide professional customer service and act as a link between health professionals, patients, and the laboratory.
