Job summary

Alpine Energy is seeking a Traffic Management Planner & Coordinator for the Works Delivery team in Timaru. You will develop site-specific Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Corridor Access Requests (CARs) in a risk-based approach, ensuring they align with NZGTTM and RCA standards to support maintenance, capital works and fault response activities.

You will coordinate approvals, permits, and traffic management activities, managing workflow priorities to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Practising TTMP and/or Practising STMS qualifications or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of temporary traffic management principles, legislation, and New Zealand industry standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Corridor Access Requests (CARs) using a risk-based approach.
• Coordinate approvals, permits, and traffic management activities through our systems, while managing workflow priorities to support operational and project delivery schedules.
• Build strong relationships with Councils, Road Controlling Authorities, Contractors, and internal stakeholders while providing technical guidance and supporting continuous improvement, and helping deliver safe, compliant outcomes.
