Job summary

Fisher Funds is seeking a Head of Trading in Auckland to lead the desk responsible for translating asset allocation decisions into actual investment exposure. You will oversee execution quality, liquidity management, and system governance across all asset classes, ensuring best execution and regulatory compliance.

You will build and develop the trading team, collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Strategy, and Investment Operations, and drive process improvements to enhance portfolio

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading a trading function or team.
• Strong knowledge of funds management, portfolio implementation, trading processes, and systems.
• Experience trading across multiple asset classes, including liquidity management and hedging.
• Proven ability to improve processes and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage the trading team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Provide trading cover across fixed income, FX, equities and derivatives as required; ensure best execution.
• Lead asset allocation changes from planning through to execution and monitoring.
