Job summary

Mitre 10 Cambridge is seeking a friendly and proactive team member to join our Trade Department. This part-time permanent role covers 18 hours per week, specifically Fridays and Saturdays, at our busy Trade Counter in Waikato.

Experience with Trade products, building or DIY knowledge is welcomed, with training provided. You will be the face of the Trade Area, delivering great customer service, assisting with product knowledge, and helping customers enjoy an affordable, easy trade experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Experience in retail or trade departments is advantageous.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and be physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Provide great customer service at the Trade counter and be the face of the Trade Area.
• Assist customers with product information and help them complete purchases.
• Support stock handling, cleanliness, and readiness for weekly trading.

Cambridge Mitre 10 MEGA has a new exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company striving for excellence. Due to growth in our Trade Department we are looking for an outgoing “can do” person to provide great customer service by being the “face” of our Trade Area and ensuring our customers have an affordable and easy Trade experience at our Trade counter.

This role is a PART-TIME PERMANENT position, 18 hours per week on a Friday and Saturday. This position is based at our busy Trade Counter, and it would be valuable if you have a background or some knowledge of Trade products/Building/DIY knowledge

For this position we are looking for someone who has:

• Enthusiasm and team spirit;
• Good time management;
• A quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
• Physically fit, as there will be prolonged standing & walking on concrete floors, manually handling, lifting and ladder use
• Willingness to learn; and
• Previous retail experience and/or experience within this department will be viewed very favourably.
